Yangyang Facts

He enjoyed dancing and rapping as a child.

He spent the majority of his teen years living in Düsseldorf, Germany.

As he attended an international school, Yangyang used to often mix up German and English.

Growing up, he enjoyed Go Karting and wanted to become a racer. He has also been a fan of German former racing driver Michael Schumacher.

When he was in school, he suffered an injury during a basketball match and had to undergo surgery which left a scar on his left shoulder.

Yangyang went back to Taipei just to participate in the Global Audition for SM Entertainment held in February 2016 and soon started his training in June of the same year.

He was introduced as an S.M. Rookie on July 17, 2018.

He became the first Taiwanese artist under SM Entertainment.

On January 17, 2019, WayV debuted with the digital extended play The Vision and it included songs like Come Back, Regular, and Dream Launch. The track Regular peaked at #9 on the Chinese QQ chart and #3 on the US World chart.

Yangyang has revealed his first memory as “When I was about 3 or 4 years old, Me and my parents went to a beach and had a barbecue”.
