Stassi Schroeder Blasts Tom Sandovals Critics After Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion

Stassi Schroeder, Tom Sandoval's former Vanderpump Rules co-star and on-air sparring partner, speaks out on the extreme heat directed his way.

Knowing firsthand how extreme vitriol can affect one's life, former Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder believes the hatred over Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss's affair has gone too far, even though she's not defending them. Starring on Vanderpump Rules from its inception in 2013, Stassi was fired in 2020. Her firing came from a collection of incredibly poor decisions, such as casually using the word Nazi to describe an outfit, racially profiling a castmate, and her usage of the word ghetto. After apologizing and spending time off-air learning how insensitive her actions were, Stassi has since been attempting to rebuild her brand, which includes book deals and a podcast with tours.

Stassi appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast and shared her reactions over Tom and Raquel's current demise with the public. “I’ve been in a position where I’ve received so much hate before,” Stassi began, adding, “I don’t like where we’re at in society where that’s how we punish people....It’s like emotionally beheading people.” In terms of the viewers' seemingly never-ending outcry over the affair storyline on Vanderpump Rules, Stassi quipped, “What makes this person on their computer the authority on what they think is enough hate for him to receive? I don’t get down with that....I don’t like it.”

Tom Sandoval Comes Under Fire At Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion

Tom and Raquel's antics, lies, and deception caused the pair to receive blow after blow from their fellow co-stars during the Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion. This reunion filming came just weeks after the affair became known, so the anger and hurt were at a peak. As Ariana unleashed on her former partner of nine years, her fellow cast members happily jumped in, sometimes so quickly that Tom was unable to speak. While James Kennedy labeled his once close friend a "worm with a mustache," Lala Kent's "boo's" over Tom's words and Scheana Shay's keen ability to barely even address him all led to a very disheveled, yet unfortunately still deflecting, Tom.

On the podcast, Stassi went on to joke that her absence from filming Vanderpump Rules season 10 was a waste, as "this was when I really could have really just given it and been like, ‘I always knew!'" Though Stassi defended Tom against the online criticism, she made it clear that she was still Team Ariana. During her stay on Vanderpump Rules, Stassi always felt that something with Tom was not quite right. Therefore, many scenes featured showdowns between the two, with Stassi's precise word choices and cutting remarks winning, while Tom scrambled (and mostly failed) to defend himself against the truths being hurled his way.

Despite her departure from Vanderpump Rules, Stassi is still friends with a majority of the cast. Katie Maloney, Lala, and Kristina Kelly are some of Stassi's closest friends. These women have walked through many aspects of life together and continue to support each other off-air. While Stassi's inexcusable actions in the past rightfully saw her removed from the series, others who were also released for similar actions, such as Kristen Doute and Jax Taylor, have popped back onto the radar post-affair to help tell the story from many angles. As for who will return or reappear for Vanderpump Rules season 11, all one can do is wait and see.
