BIOGRAPHY
After appearances in The Resident , All Rise and Grey’s Anatomy , Jacob Romero became, in 2019, AJ Delajae in the last two seasons of Greenleaf , a series from Oprah Winfrey’s channel OWN, about the ups and downs of a black family at the head of a Protestant church affected by numerous tragedies. He plays the biological son of Grace Greenleaf ( Merle Dandridge ), abandoned at birth for adoption. His character, in search of his real parents, is introduced into the show at the start of season 4.
The end of Greenleaf , in 2020, is timely. Jacob Romero was chosen in November 2021 to play Usopp in the live-action version of One Piece developed by Netflix. The first episodes are available on the platform on August 31, 2023. Taken from the famous manga and anime, the series follows the incredible adventures of a crew in search of a mysterious treasure. Usopp is the most sensitive of the group but also one of the most loyal. This great dreamer is a formidable warrior of the seas.
