Caleb Bratayley biography and cause of death revealed ·

Caleb Bratayley was a young American boy who gained fame with his family through their Bratayley online video streaming channel. Think of them as an online version of the Kardashians, but of course with less drama. Sports and gaming lover Caleb would later start his own channel called blazenoutlaws which is also popular.

Sadly, on October 1, 2015, the Bratayleys took to their official Instagram page to announce that Caleb had tragically passed away. The reason was initially stated to be due to natural causes, but as expected in such cases, few people immediately believed the story, with some suspecting foul play.

However, other details revealing that Caleb had an illness that went unnoticed over the years settled the question of Caleb’s death. Here’s everything you need to know about the young deceased.

Caleb Bratayley Biography

Caleb was born Caleb Logan LeBlanc on July 13, 2002, in Georgia, as the first child of Katie and Billy LeBlanc. He was the only child in his family and had two sisters named Hayley (born September 2, 2008) and Annie (December 5, 2004).

On September 30, 2010, his parents created a YouTube channel for his younger sister Hayley and named it Bratayley, a pseudonym for “snotty” and “Hayley”. A channel created as a joke would propel the whole family into the spotlight. Caleb and the rest of his family soon started featuring on the channel, which soon turned to a family vlog.

Caleb’s personality as a funny and talented boy was immediately visible on the channel. Dubbed Baked Potato, Caleb created the closing song “I am a Baked Potato” for their vlog. He loved sports and played baseball at school as a catcher. On the baseball field, Caleb was nicknamed Wheels because he was a fast runner.

The dude was known for his love for the Minecraft video game which he streamed on his blazenoutlaws channel. Her favorite food was mac and cheese and her best colors were black and purple.

Caleb has also appeared in other channels created by his family members including; TruthPlusDare and OMMyGoshTV. These two channels were created by his father, who serves in the US Navy, to help other YouTubers reach audiences who might not have originally known him.

Their Bratayley channel has garnered over a billion views, a feat that has landed them in Disney’s Maker Studios.

Caleb’s cause of death revealed

The sudden death of Caleb Bratayley on January 1, 2015 at his family home in Maryland came as a shock to his fans around the world. Caleb’s cause of death is believed to have originated from a natural cause.

A few days after the initial report, his family updated that Caleb passed away from an undetected illness. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy was later discovered. This disease means that the heart muscle thickens beyond the norm and therefore cannot pump blood effectively.

The family had suspected the disease before. Doctors confirmed it and said the family had a history of the disease. However, Caleb never showed symptoms throughout his life and the disease went undetected during all of his medical examinations. Research confirms that many people with the disease can live for years without symptoms and live normal lives like healthy humans.

After Caleb’s death, his two sisters Annie and Hayley were examined for signs of the disease but nothing was found. Some of Caleb’s organs were donated to save lives.

Caleb had made a video titled “Dear Future Self” a day before his death. In this video, posted on October 3, he answered a question one of his fans asked about what he would ask for in his future. Caleb wondered, “Is Taco Bell still there?”

Eight days after his passing, Caleb’s family at his memorial service is available to his fans via live streaming on Facebook and Periscope. In his honor, his channel blazenoutlaws was renamed The Arrow Faction, a Collab channel.
